Puti-Puti Environmental Declaration 2030
Towards a society where we can sustain the friendship with the air
Kawakami Sangyo, under the catchphrase “Friends with Air,” is actively pursuing a plastic recycling system centered on recycling in order to reduce CO2 emissions and create a sustainable society that is easy for people to live in. We recognize that both “waste plastic problem” and “global warming problem” are important issues for us, and we have been working on them through our environmental management system “Eco Action 21” since 2011. In 2020, we established "Recycling Business Department", which will specialize in plastic recycling operations. And now, we hereby declare the “Puti-Puti Environmental Declaration 2030” with three goals in the Petit Puchi manufacturing process.
1） Increase the percentage of recycled main raw materials used in Puti-Puti production from 80% or more in 2020 to 100% by 2025.
2）By 2030, we aim to achieve post-consumer use (including used Puti-Puti recycled raw materials) for at least 55% of the 100% recycled Puti-Puti.
3）By 2030, we aim to reduce CO2 emissions by 20% through activities 1) and 2). (compared to 2020)
In our journey to incorporate 80% recycled materials in Puti-Puti production, we have successfully reduced CO2 emissions by approximately 60%, compared to when no recycled materials were used.
