Disaster prevention agreements with local governments

We will preferentially supply materials for winter protection at evacuation centres and other places in the event of a disaster.

Disaster relief activities

In situations where a high level of social support is required, such as in the event of an emergency disaster, we make donations in a way that is possible for a public company. We provide free or paid assistance using our products, including the improvement of living spaces and sanitary conditions during disaster evacuation, on request.

Support activities for the Chilean cave-in accident in 2010

Puti-Puti ‘Putinskat’, a special Puti-Puti crushing device to help with mental health care for survivors who remain trapped for long periods of time after the 5 August 2010 cave-in accident at the Copiapo San Jose mine in Chile, South America, in which 33 workers were trapped for 69 days in an underground mine shaft. Donated through the Embassy of Chile.

2011 Great East Japan Earthquake relief activities

Donations of Puti-Puti, generators, water and food to evacuation centres in Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, Ibaraki and Saitama to help people stay as warm as possible in the bitter cold immediately after the disaster. For long-term evacuation centres, durable temporary changing rooms and other items were donated.

2016 Support activities in areas affected by the Kumamoto earthquake.

Donated Puti-Puti, temporary spaces (QS72), water and food to evacuation centres and hospitals.

2011 Send ‘The Desk’ project.

The za-table with drawers was given to children in the affected areas as a gift, as it was felt that daily life in the long evacuation centres and temporary housing would not start without a stand/desk. When shipping the items from Tokyo, the Tokyo schoolchildren packed them and enclosed a letter to the schoolchildren in the affected areas.
