We designed Ukiyo-e bubble sheet (bubble sheet) with Ukiyo-e printed on bubble sheet with an unprecedented product concept.
The story of “Okurimono”
In the Edo period, the Japanese used Ukiyo-e prints as cushioning material for exporting goods to Europe, which fascinated people in the region.
The Ukiyo-e attracted Van Gogh and Impressionist, and created a kind of boom called Japonism.
Trying to bring back such sense of excitment, Ukiyo-e putiputi (bubble sheet) was designed based on an unprecedented product concept with Ukiyo-e print on putiputi (bubble sheet).
